Privacy policy
From WikiRecord, the encyclopedia of everything
WikiRecord has no user accounts, shows no advertising and uses no tracking cookies. This policy explains the limited information that is processed when you read the site.
Visit statistics
To understand how many people use WikiRecord and which pages they read, each page view is counted. A visitor is recognised by a one-way pseudonymous code calculated from the visitor's IP address and browser identifier together with a secret key. The IP address itself is not stored and the code cannot be turned back into it.
With each view the following are recorded: the code, the page address, the date and time, the country derived from the network, the device type (computer, phone or tablet), the browser family and, if present, the address of the site that linked to the page. Records of which codes visited on a given day are deleted after 120 days; only aggregate totals are kept beyond that. Search engines and other automated programs are not counted.
Cookies
WikiRecord sets no cookies for visitors. A strictly necessary cookie is set only for the site's administrators when they open the statistics pages.
Hosting and delivery
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes the technical data of each request (including the IP address) to deliver pages and to protect the site against attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Content from other sources
Images, maps and media players are loaded directly from the sources named on each page, such as Wikimedia, the Internet Archive and TVmaze. When your browser loads them, those services receive your IP address and browser information as part of the request and handle it under their own privacy policies.
Legal basis
The processing described above is based on WikiRecord's legitimate interest in operating a secure website and in understanding its use in aggregate (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your personal data, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Because WikiRecord cannot identify a visitor from the pseudonymous code, it can generally not link stored data to a particular person.
Effective 31 October 2026.
